A Day of Terror: An Arab terrorist opened fire on a police car near Shaar Sh’chem in Yerushalayim this afternoon. The terrorist was riding a motorbike, and fired at the police patrol,injuring one of the officers. After firing, he fled on his bike.
The terrorist was chased by other policemen, and shot the terrorist dead. Unfortunately, one of the police officers was wounded in the cross-fire.
A Carl-Gustav style sub-machine gun was found on the terrorist’s body. This is the weapon of choice used recently by Arab terrorists in shooting attacks.
The wounded Border Policemen were taken to the Hadassah Ein Karem Medical Center for treatment.
Another terror attack took place during that hour, in Petach Tikvah, when a 40-year-old Jewish man was stabbed by an Arab terrorist. The man was repeatedly and brutally stabbed in his upper body, but miraculously, and heroically, managed to grab the knife from the terrorist, and stab him to death.
Earlier in the day, two terror stabbing attacks were thwarted in Yerushalayim. In the Old City a female Arab terrorist who attempted to stab officers was shot, and a second female terrorist was caught in Qalandiya with a hidden knife. She admitted to be planning a stabbing attack.
