Despite the ban on internet, Bnei Brak ranks fifth in a survey of online shopping at overseas websites, preceded by Tel Aviv, Rishon L’Tzion, Petach Tikvah and Yerushalayim.
The survey included 80 cities and their residents throughout the country, and studied their online shopping habits at overseas shopping sites, and the efficiency of the package deliveries.
Dani Goldstein, CEO of the Israel Postal Service, shared the results of the survey with the members of the Knesset. Goldstein said that he plans to open over the next year 270 new centers for the distribution of parcels and registered mail from marketing chains and shopping websites.
The new centers will be in addition to 750 branches across the country, some of which began to operate until the evening.
“We will soon have lockers (facilities) that are accessible 24 hours a day via a password sent to consumers,” said chief executive office.
He said: “The postal daily average is some 2 million letters (500 million annually) and 400 thousand packages. This is an annual increase of about 11%. The volume of package delivery jumped from 19 million packages in 2012, to 40 million in 2015. This trend is expected to continue to rise every year.”
Stop believing all the idiocy. How many “frum” websites are there? For no one???
