Bus Terror returns: Yerushalayim Police believe the bomb that exploded yesterday (Monday) on a number 12 bus line in Talpiot exploded prematurely.
The explosive device detonated under the feet of a seriously wounded Arab who bore no identification.
Police are investigating whether he is a suicide bomber or did he just sit near the pipe bomb placed on the bus.
The number 12 Egged bus exploded yesterday on the corner of Baram Street and Hebron Road in Yerushalayim’s Talpiot neighborhood. As a result, 21 people were injured, of whom two are in critical condition, five in fair condition and the others in light condition.
Moshe Levy, the bus driver, recalls the moments of panic: “I started the journey from East Talpiot towards Hadassah,” the driver recalled the trip he will never forget: “I did a security check twice, at the beginning of the trip and before I set off. I checked for bombs.
“I came to Moshe Baram Street in Talpiot street and stopped due to a traffic jam. Suddenly there was a loud explosion from the back of the bus; i immediately realized that it was a terrorist attack.”
Miraculously, the bus wasn’t full to capacity, which would have caused a massive death toll, G-d forbid.
