Tragedy in New York: Faigy Mayer, 29 years old, leaped to her horrific death from a 30th floor deck of a Fifth Avenue building.
Mayer was a talented applications developer who ran the Appton application startup. She developed the popular apps Carma and Expense Tracker, as well as an app that calculates tipping fees. Mayer hails from a Chassidic family, but sadly left the Torah lifestyle, and was a member of various support groups for people who made life choices similar to hers. As many of the young adults that left their heritage, she suffered from depression and mental issues, and was hospitalized several times.
Mayer arrived at the Fifth Rooftop Bar, asked the barman where the east deck is situated, and proceeded to place her foot over the railing. The barman tried to stop her, without success. First responders tried to revive her, without success.
The levaye took place with a group of her peers in attendance.

An ignorant, biased, and self-serving perspective of a tragic event. This is about mental illness, period. Shame for using this story to further your own agenda.
MD what agenda? Mental health, cut off from roots, a very sad story. Didn’t get a sense of agenda here, I read empathy for those floundering souls. And their families. It a “darned if you do, darned if you don’t no win situation. Everyone loses.
